Everyone You Know

With a self-damning introduction, UK brothers Everyone You Know are sharing “Our Generation” that listens somewhat like a sarcastic hug. We are treated to lamentations of the latest generation’s issues of substance abuse and lack of self-reliance, among other woes. Of course the reasonable Millennial won’t disagree, but it’s not the whole story. The duo outline the somber subject with melancholic melodies, filling the field with poignant introspection that offers more than just echoes of a Boomer’s criticism. It’s a mirror this generation needs for Christmas, like the gifts of socks and button-ups we learn to appreciate later in life. Don’t miss their debut EP, Cheer Up Charlie, out now and available here.
