For our first edition, Julien Baker comes out on top with “Heatwave” off her new album Little Oblivions.

Sitting at #1 on our Hypeline chart, Julien Baker is a 25-year-old Tennessee-born singer-songwriter who’s vulnerable lyricism has brought her to the forefront of the indie-folk scene.

Inspired by her journey with spirituality, addiction, and mental health, every one Baker’s song is heart-wrenchingly beautiful, and her track “Heatwave” off her most recent album Little Oblivions is no exception.

Check out the playlist below to hear Baker’s song at the top of our Hypeline playlist, and be sure to take a listen to the other 20 musicians on the list that were voted on by you.
