Will Smith – Gettin’ Jiggy Wit It (Viceroy “Jet Life” Remix)

The year is 1998. Will Smith is riding the wave of success from Men in Black, with Wild Wild West just a glimmer on the horizon. So he did what any sensible actor/rapper/international superstar would do: he wrote a song about gyrating, simultaneously adding yet another regrettable phrase to the vocabularies of millions. Now, more than 14 years after its release, “summertime all the time” remix wizard Viceroy has dropped his own excellent take on the song. Gone are the unmistakably 90’s record scratches, replaced by Viceroy’s signature shimmering synths and handclaps, while singer Chela provides the “na-na-na-na-na-na-na’s”. Head over to Viceroy’s Facebook page for a free download, and check out another remix by French Horn Rebellion, who are playing this weekend’s All Things Gold One Year Anniversary show with RAC, The Knocks, POP ETC, and Vacationer at the 9:30 Club.
