To celebrate the Royal Concept‘s show with Wolfgang and Atlas Genius at U Street Music Hall this Saturday, October 27th, the band is taking over All Things Go today. Stay tuned to the site for posts written by the band members themselves on their favorite songs, remixes, and videos as of late.

We consider this to be the best and sincerest song on our self-titled EP. When David first presented this song to us, it sounded a bit like a Coldplay ballad. We had a really hard time figuring out how to produce it so it wouldn’t sound as a total outsider compared to our happy guitar driven songs. We actually thought of skipping it all together until we finally decided to give it another go and all of a sudden it all clicked. It’s still a ballad but dressed in heavy bass lines and synth hooks. Lyrically, it’s about a guy finally getting over a girl he’s liked for a long time but then all of a sudden she steps in to his life again and he knows it’s best to stay away but finds it impossible.
