Olivia Bouyssou Merilahti’s voice is what indie starlets are made of. She gives the adorable but haunting music crafted with her partner in crime, Dan Levy, an alluring quality, one strong enough that it makes me wonder why songs like “Too Insistent” haven’t gotten more blog play here in the States. The video for said horn-frilled number fits the track’s vibe perfectly. Merilahti is straight up beautiful and the two older folks dancing just warms my heart, but the whole four-eyes thing? Kind of terrifying. The Dø‘s Both Ways Open Jaws is out now on Get Down.
