Last time we checked in with VW’s Rostam Batmanglij he was releasing his first solo single, “Wood.” Well, the D.C.-born instrumentalist is back with a new track, “Don’t Let It Get To You,” which he shared on his tumblr a few hours ago. The song sounds like the love child of Discovery–his side-project with Ra Ra Riot’s Wes Miles–and “Obvious Child” by Paul Simon. As in, I’m pretty sure he may have sampled the drum line from Simon’s iconic track off of the criminally underrated Rhythm of the Saints.

After hearing this beautiful track, I can’t decide if I’m more excited for this or the new Vampire Weekend album, and that’s saying something.
