Passion Pit – Take a Walk
ATG darlings Passion Pit teamed up with artist and director David Wilson for the music video for “Take a Walk,” the band’s first single off of their sophomore effort, Gossamer. The video takes divine inspiration from artist Osamu Tezuka’s animated short, “Jumping.” Everyone’s inner-child fantasy of seeing life through the lens of a bouncy ball comes to life here, although the rubbery sphere in this video is no ordinary backyard plaything. This ball has jumping power of magical proportions with heights rivaling airplane’s flight paths. Through the ball’s perspective, we watch as our surroundings transition from suburbia to a bustling urban landscape until we finally bounce up to a rooftop to find singer Michael Angelakos. It’s a surreal, childlike adventure set to the electro indie sounds of our much loved Passion Pit. Also, Angelakos throws like a girl.
