Night Terrors Of 1927 – Watch The World Go Dark
Today we have a real treat for you courtesy of our blog BFFs over at Neon Gold, who recently debuted the fantastic new song “Watch The World Go Dark” by little-known LA band Night Terrors of 1927. “Watch The World Go Dark” features some of the most polished songwriting and production we’ve heard from a relatively obscure group in a long time.
There are so many things to like about this track that it’s hard to know where to begin. It has the weird-but-catchy outer space electropop vibe of the Flaming Lips plus the shimmering, loungey psychedelia of Destroyer. Throw in ascending choral vocals a la Polyphonic Spree and an anthemic “dark pop” arrangement recalling Mercury Rev and you have a formula for awesome.
Enough geeky genre splitting. This is a good song and you should listen to it. Stream below.
