Giveaway: BYT & La Maison Francaise Present: The French Underground
À la mode, en vogue, chic: There’s a reason that 95% of the English synonyms for fashionable are stolen right from the French dictionary. Whether they are pas de deuxing to Yelle or toting around camembert-slathered baguettes, there is a certain je ne sais quoi about les French that the rest of us can’t get enough of.
This Friday and Saturday, get your fill of Francophile fête-ing at The French Underground. ATG faves BYT & La Maison Française will be pairing up for a special soirée at the Embassy of France featuring an allons-y-worthy lineup over two nights (this Friday, October 12th, and Saturday, October 13th), including French electro pop artists Housse De Racket and Yan Wagner, plus live sets from DJ Sean Peoples of Fatback, White Life, & DJ Chris Nitti. You’ll also get a chance to see Tomorrow’s World, the new Air/New Young Pony Club project, so le boeuf up on your music knowledge before you grab your tickets HERE.
Where there’s a will there’s a oui, and oui (we) have some tickets for giveaway here. All you need to do is tell us your favorite French establishment in DC, whether it be La Fourchette Targét boutique. Get it going in the comments, and make sure to grab your tickets for both nights.

Bistro Francais!
Bistrot Lepic, no question.
Does L’Enfant Plaza count? Because that place sucks.
My absolute fave is L’Auberge Chez Francois. I know it’s not in DC proper, but it puts all other French restaurants to shame. I won’t eat French food anywhere else!
It’s FRANÇAISE, not FRANCAISE.
CA = KA
ÇA = SA
I liggity lurve Montmartre in Capitol Hill
Sorry Zulu, our formatting doesnt allow for Ç in the post title. But thanks for the French lesson! Où est la bibliothèque!?
gotta second the bistrot lepic nomination. good stuff.
Bistrot du Coin is a DC landmark…always fun and throws a great Bastille party!
Pretty sure that Bistro Cacao is a fabulous french bistro that remains undiscovered to the general public. Other that the frequent loyal customers that live in and around the neighboring area, this tiny restaurant is a diamond in the ruff. Now granted, Montmartre is good…. but this place ranks right up top with it.. maybe even better. Hands down, the BEST “Grillade de possion et fruits de mur” I’ve ever had.. I’ve pasted a link below to this jaw dropping entree:

I meant to say “other THAN the frequent loyal customers”….stupid typos lol
La Fourchette has the absolute best petit déjeuner in the district!
ALSO – Panorama bakery is my favorite place to stop by on a Thursday afternoon at the farmers’ market next to the White House… perfect time to brush up on my French ordering skills!
Cafe Bonaparte in gtown, or Napoleon in Adams Morgan.
Rep. Burt French (R-ID) is/was my favorite Congressman!
