These are the words that apparently describe Eleanor Friedberger’s life, according to the Great Montage Reel of Judgment I can only hope we all get to watch when it’s our turn to wait outside the pearly gates. Solo for the first time since rising to fame as half of the brother-sister duo Fiery Furnaces, Friedberger gave us “Heaven” as part of last year’s Last Summer album. The recent video was directed by Scott Jacobson–a Daily Show writer, of all things. She makes us swoon, he makes us laugh. Nothing better than that.
