CHVRCHES – The Mother We Share
CHVRCHES (pronounced “churches” for all you non-latin majors out there) is a Glaswegian trio led by ebullient lead vocalist Lauren Mayberry that just released a soaring synth-pop number, “The Mother We Share.” The track would fit nicely on a playlist alongside innovative electro-pop pioneers like St. Lucia or Purity Ring. With a vocal melody nearly as catchy as Carly Rae’s layered over a booming synth-driven backing track, Mayberry and co. may have just created the most ATG-ready track known to man. So pop on “The Mother We Share,” get on your knees, and pray for more CHVRCHES. See what I did there?

Zack’s opening sentence is a little misleading! Apparently, Chrvches chose to spell their name this way to make it easier for people to Google them- it’s not a pretentious twist on the Latin language.
