Electric Guest came out of the CMJ Music Marathon as my big winners. I caught the band on two separate occasions – at the ATG official CMJ showcase and Neon Gold Records Popshop. The band really delivered on all counts. They were on most peoples must-see lists and with good reason. They’ve got a tight live show featuring smooth vocals coupled with R&B instrumentation. They are able to recreate the soulful songs they’ve got floating around the interwebz in an engaging manner. Rumor has it Danger Mouse has had a hand in producing some of the bands tracks to date and will most likely be twisting the knobs for their full length album due out sometime in 2012 via Downtown Records.
