Battles have officially won me over with Gloss Drop. Not only do I love their latest album considerably more than their debut, Mirrored, but the three-piece experimental outfit have been killing it in the A-V department as of late. Look no further than their videos for “Ice Cream” and the take-away performance of “Futura.” The latest from the Battles camp is one for “My Machines,” a driving, quirky, semi-industrial number featuring none other than Gary Numan. Pretty sure Danté failed to mention the circle of hell our friend here is stuck in. Gloss Drop is out now on Warp.
