Autre Ne Veut is the stage name of 30-year-old Brooklynite Arthur Ashin. “Counting” is the first single off his sophomore album, Anxiety, named after the debilitating reason Ashin went through intensive psychoanalysis to battle depression. The song manifests the theme of uncertainty and fear with sporadic atonal trumpet blasts and a chorus that grows more defiant in its chaos and unsureness as the song goes progresses, resulting an intensely personal R&B anthem. The use of Munch’s The Scream as an album cover couldn’t be more fitting.

Anxiety is set for release on February 12th via Software Recording Company.
