Leading the charge on this release is the title track, an uplifting ode to teenage romance. Siren prove themselves deserving of their namesake with debut single “I Think I Like You.” Comprised of longtime friends Kat Ostenberg and Skyler Stonestreet, the L.A. duo operates with the same vocal affinity that makes contemporaries like Say Lou Lou so damn good. Remember back in the day when Passion Pit remixes were a dime a dozen? Seemed you couldn’t walk anywhere without stepping on somebody’s new version of “Sleepyhead.” Artec decided to let the buzz die down and wait a whole half-decade before creating his take on Manners standout “Moth’s Wings.” The Miami producer gives the track a bit more life with this uplifting throwback electro-pop reimagination. Not long ago we premiered “Burden,” a brooding piece of baroque-pop from Brooklyn’s Skyes. Today we’re bringing you another first listen from the band: their remix of Paperwhite‘s “Got Me Goin.” The synth-pop of the duo’s debut track is replaced with a smooth ambient electronic sound, which goes surprisingly well with Katie Marshall’s original vocals. She’s So Rad – Levels

Nobody wants to be derivative. We can imagine the last thing She’s So Rad want to hear after you hit play on “Levels” is “Oh, this sounds like Phoenix.” While a comparison to Thomas Mars and co. wouldn’t be wrong, there’s more to consider here. These up-and-coming New Zealanders take cues from said French indie-pop pioneers while also adding a bedroom dream-pop edge that makes their sound infectious, personal and, most importantly, their own.
