Premiere: Paper Boats – Holidays

paper boats holiday premiere

It’s never too early to start building a summer playlist. For those of you already hard at work on that, we’ve got another track for you to add: Paper Boats‘ “Holidays.” Premiering here on ATG today, the latest from the UK five-piece is a tropical dream-pop adventure. If Carousel and Cub Sport went on summer vacation together, it would sound something like this. Give “Holidays” a spin below.

Mausi – Hideaway (Kiesza Cover)

If we had it our way, we’d get to hear new Mausi every day. Until that dream becomes a reality, we’ll have to settle for their latest bit of ear candy: a cover of Kiesza’s “Hideaway.” While this one isn’t as party-starting as “Body Language” or “MOVE,” the ATG Records alums’ take on the Canadian chart-topper is groovy and laid-back while still sounding 100% Mausi. Give it a listen below.

Festival Fever: MS MR

The latest artists to star in Diffuser.fm’s Festival Fever series are none other than MS MR. The alt-pop duo have come a long way since posting their songs online over two years ago and will be making an appearance on the Coachella main stage this weekend. Hit the jump to watch an interview with Max and Lizzy — in which they talk about meeting each other, adjusting to tour life, festivals and more — along with performances of “Think Of You” and “Hurricane.”

Vacationer – The Wild Life

Tropical pop doesn’t come to anybody quite as naturally as it does to Vacationer. If you need proof, look no further than their 2012 Downtown debut Gone. Kenny Vasoli and co. are set to follow that phenomenal release up this year with a sophomore album — Relief. Quite the leisurely title, right? Our first taste of the upcoming LP is “The Wild Life,” a delightful piece of glitchy electronic island pop. Give it a listen below.

Vacationer’s Relief is slated for a June 24th release via Downtown. You can catch them on tour now with Hellogoodbye — dates available here.

Wolf Alice – Storms

Wolf Alice follow up this month’s ferocious “Moaning Lisa Smile” with another gut-punch of a track: “Storms.” While the latest from the London grunge-pop champions is less about balls-to-the-wall power chords than its predecessor, it more than makes up for those with a barrage of sonic guitar. And as always, Ellie Roswell’s hypnotic vocals are front and center. Give “Storms” a listen below and stay tuned for Wolf Alice’s Creature Songs EP, out May 26th via Dirty Hit.

Distiller.fm recently caught up with the bluesy, psychedelic foursome. Wolf Gang – Black River

It seems like forever since we last heard from Wolf Gang. Their debut full-length Suego Faults proved to be a transatlantic success after its 2011 release thanks to a cornucopia of hits like “Lions In Cages,” “The King And All Of His Men” and “Dancing With The Devil.” The London foursome is poised to keep things going in 2014 with a brand new EP: Black River. It isn’t due out until April 29th, but to get you all ready the band has dropped the release’s title track. With the assistance of UK producer Floods (U2, Nine Inch Nails), “Black River” shows that Wolf Gang haven’t missed a step when it comes to explosive, anthemic indie rock. Give it a listen below.
