ANR have been described as a “blistering rock pair” by RCRD LBL, purveyors of “cosmic funk” by The Guardian and the next TV On The Radio by Huffington Post. In other words, they’re all over the place. The band has gone and made cornering their sound that much more difficult by enlisting producer Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Reptar, Gnarls Barkley) to mix their most recent tune, the AA-side “Blood On Blood” from their upcoming 7″ on Neon Gold Records. The result is a driving rock ballad covering the lyrical landscape of war and bloodshed – somehow in an uplifting manner.
