Artist Playlist: Jukebox The Ghost
DC indie darlings Jukebox The Ghost return to the 9:30 Club this Thursday, November 8th as main support for pop-punk veterans Motion City Soundtrack. Last time these dudes rolled through town we had the pleasure of asking them a few questions. For their second go in the District, guitarist Tommy Siegel curated a playlist for us with his favorite songs as of late. Check it out after the jump.
STREAM: Jukebox The Ghost – “Somebody”
STREAM: Savoire Adore – “Dreamers”
“Dance hit of the millennium. New York City guy/girl duet vocals and SWEET SYNTH TONES.”
STREAM: Hop Along – “Tibetan All Stars”
“Jangly, soul-baring indie rock from Philadelphia.”
STREAM: Micachu And The Shapes – “OK”
“Creepy, disaffected, and incredibly catchy despite unusual melodies and impossible-to-recognize instrumentation.”
STREAM: Chris Cohen – “Heart Beat”
“Formerly one of the guitarists of Deerhoof, this whole record breaks my heart in the best possible way. This song epitomizes his unusual songwriting.”
STREAM: Field Music – “Start The Day Right”
“Post-punk turned ELO/prog and the results are perfect — Textbook study in perfect album openers.”
