Arguably the most buzzworthy quartet from the UK since Bloc Party, Alt-J have already released their stellar studio debut, An Awesome Wave, across the pond. Although the album awaits its proper stateside release on September 18th, it’s already been on constant repeat here at ATG HQ and is one of the most well-rounded and expertly produced LPs in recent memory. The record is loaded with gems but “Fitzpleasure” stands above the rest, relying on unconventional vocal melodies and a gravelly bass-line to create a quirky masterpiece. The band is not without some famous fans as well, as My Morning Jacket’s Jim James decided to take a stab at remixing the track.
