Austin-t at the 9:30 Club last month is a thing of the past, but don’t be Madison; we’re Raleigh not ones to Cheyenne away from the challenge of topping ourselves. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, All Things Gold is back for its second year, and Juneau it’s going to be bigger and better than anything we’ve done before. Looking for killer DJ sets, or maybe a Little Rock and roll? It’s all coming your way.

But for now, I have a specific Topeka I want to discuss with y’all: Capital Cities. The LA-based duo struck a Concord-ant note in our Hartford when they released their first EP back in 2011 with its standout single, “Safe and Sound.” To be Frankfort, we didn’t know if they’d be able to keep up the momentum, but they proved themselves in May with the equally sparkling Kangaroo Court. Their exuberant electro-pop is sure to put a smile on your face and a Springfield in your step.

Capital Cities will join Hood Internet and Magic Man for All Things Gold 014 this Thursday, so Bismarck your calendars for Augusta 10. And bring your favorite girls and Boise, because Des Moines, de merrier.
