MNDR is the electronic duo of Amanda Warner and Peter Wade. Amanda writes the songs, takes on most of the personality of the band and is often featured as the solo participant during live performances. Peter provides the studio crunch and produces most of the tracks. Either way, they’ve released some pretty awesome pop jams over the past year or so. The MNDR sound lies somewhere between the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and M.I.A. Amanda is as good of a singer as Karen O. and has as much energy and passion in her production as M.I.A. “Fade To Black” is a prime example of the balance.

MNDR was recently commissioned to do a single for Mountain Dews Green Label Sound record club. She recorded “Cut Me Out” for release and had the song remixed by artists including Kingdom, Herve and Drop The Lime. The MNDR live show features a lot of visual elements, lights and projections – so it should be pretty sweet. Warner also contributed vocals to Mark Ronsons “Bang, Bang, Bang” – the first single from his Record Collection album.

You can catch MNDR live in DC along with Russ Chimes, Starsmith, Nicky Blitz and Brenton Duvall this Thursday at U Street Music Hall. Tickets are available HERE.
